Why should I get artificial grass?

Is it safe for kids and dogs?
A: Yes. Our turf is manufactured to be 100% lead-free and non toxic. It’s hypoallergenic and completely safe for children and pets to play on every day.
How do I clean up pet poop and pee?
A: Pick up solid waste just like you normally do, and liquid waste drains right through. If it smells, just rinse it with a hose. For heavy pet use, we install Zeolite and OptiFill which absorbs and neutralizes odors naturally.
How long will it last?
A: At least 10 years! We have been in business for 14 years, and our very first installation is still vibrant green today.
How does it drain when it rains heavily?
A: Yes. High-quality drainage is all about the base foundation, but synthetic grass itself has perforated holes in the backing so water drains straight through the turf and into the foundation.
Does it really need zero maintenance?
A: It is low maintenance, not zero maintenance. You’ll need to blow off leaves and debris occasionally. If you want it to look brand new, NWSG offers a professional tune up service where we deep clean the turf, remove debris, and power brush the blades back upright.
How is synthetic grass with dogs?
A: Synthetic grass and dogs are a great combination! Most of our customers have dogs, and they love it because it completely eliminates mud and keeps your house clean.
Is synthetic grass hot?
A: Yes, synthetic grass does get warmer than real grass. However, in our British Columbia summer climate, the grass is perfectly fine to walk on 99.9% of the time. On those rare, intensely hot summer days, you can easily cool the lawn down by running a sprinkler over it for a few minutes.
